A recent study has shown it is best to use a
combination of at least four search engines (Scopus,
Google Scholar, PubMed and HighWire Press) to avoid
missing important citations on a specific topic. However,
manual compilation of results of such diverse search
tools is almost impossible. Citation-Compiler is the
solution to this problem.
Citation-Compiler can also be used to process results
from multiple queries from the same search engine
(HighWire Press and Google Scholar frequently require
multiple searches even with a single topic [due to their
limitation to the number of query terms]).
